It's day two of the villa refurb, and I'd like to think we're making pretty good progress!
Today was incredibly beautiful and warm, so instead of wasting the sunshine, we spent the morning exploring the island some more. Our first stop was Kalithea Springs - a natural spring in a secluded bay of crystal clear waters, which the Italians made popular when they governed the island. In the 1920s, the bath house and rotunda were built. The site has now been fully restored, and is now a super cool beach club.
We popped to a couple of shops on the way back to the villa (which you can see in today's vlog below!) and picked up a few things - I finally got my hands on a decent fake plant for the shelves which are yet to be put up! Quite the result for an island blooming with real flowers and plants to sell such a good fake!
Armed with new curtains too, we headed back to villa and made a start on the coffee table and the beautiful sideboard (which I am determined to have for myself in my future home!). The difference in the living room already is absolutely incredible, and so worth the time and energy!
We still have quite a lot of tidying up to do, but that's two more pieces of furniture up and ready! I will take lots of photos of the entire finished product, but I was too excited to share what we've done so far!
Don't forget to check back tomorrow for Day Three, and also for more details and photos of today's outfit. I can't wait to show you the next stages of #projectvilla!
