3 Outings, 3 Outfits

Day One: Coffee and Cake

My plans on this day were to go to Ex(c)iting Game in Oxford with my boyfriend, sister and best friend. Ex(c)iting Game is a reality escape the room game. You have 60 minutes to find clues in a warehouse, solve puzzles and unlock the room (thus saving the world from a deadly virus). It is SO much fun! I’ve never done anything like it before, but am desperate to do it again! After successfully escaping the room and saving mankind, we went to the cutest café for coffee and a well-deserved piece of cake.

Since our British summer weather is getting worse and worse, I decided to plan an outfit around my flat, thigh-high, suede boots from Zara that I got for Christmas. They’ve only made it out of the cupboard once since then so it was about time they had another outing! I found it difficult dressing them down – almost everything I paired with them was way too formal for the day. Finally, I settled on a pair of flared, high-waisted shorts from Miss Selfridge and an oversized khaki jumper from Topshop. The perfect mystery-solving get up…

Day Two: Exploring Oxford

The next day, my best friend and I decided a day shopping was overdue. We spent the whole day shopping and exploring the cute streets of Oxford. Once much financial damage was done in H&M and Primark, we went for a cup of tea at The Grand Café which is a beautiful, traditional tea room.

The weather, yet again, was all over the place so I chose to wear a fairly weather-neutral outfit. I knew I wanted to create an outfit around my new Office snakeskin boots. I decided to keep the rest of the outfit simple so paired my Next black T-shirt with some H&M skinny jeans.

T-Shirt // Next // £8

Jeans // H&M // £39.99

Boots // Office // £80

Day Three: Dinner and Drinks

Armed with a Topshop voucher and nothing to wear for dinner and drinks with friends, I went shopping (again) and came away with this beautiful Topshop skirt. The restaurant we went to on this day was fairly smart, but nothing over the top so I paired my new skirt with a white cotton shirt (also from Topshop). I chose to wear a pair of black heeled ankle boots from Next to dress the outfit up a bit!
